Because people here want more and more but most of them will not do anything to help you out, or even say thanks.

I never ask for +REP, but the reason I've closed my GFX shops that I've had is because I never got even a simple "Thank you."

Also, I hate spending time making an avatar and then I see the person put it on for a few seconds and then replace it with another one immediately, or sometimes not even use it at all.

I don't know why I bother making them, well, I don't anymore.. but yeah.

i think that it would be nice if they would rep ya, but also the whole rep thing is more of a joke than "reputation". I mean peeps earn rep from constant worthless posts and they are gaining reputation from being a spammer not from offering a service like your GFX which should deserve a reward such as a good reputation.
