So hi all I have just got my self a crucial m4 64gb now then. I would like to install just windows 8 to this drive. And everything else to my seagate 2tb how would I do this exactly I am new to running to drives in one PC so need help on this one. +rep for best answer

edit i sort of understand it a bit but i dont get how you install programs to a different drive than the os

yes i have win 8pro but it needs a reinstall so i was going to wait for my ssd put win 8 on that. Then format my mechanical drive and use that for everything els. also i have over 150gb of games can i put them on my mechanical drive?

Yes, you can choose an install destination when you install games. You also don't have to format the mechanical drive because you'll still be able to access the data while booted to the installation on the SSD. You'll also be able to boot to the existing installation on the hard drive if you need to.

You need a create a new partition on what ever HDD you want and when you download the windows 8 upgrade tool MAKE sure you install it under the partition you created.

No upgrade assistant clean install drone disk thanks for help though
