xModMe wrote So, being a big supplier of JTAGs on GT. I get this Question ALL the time.
"How the hell do I convince my mommy to buy me another xbox?"

Well, when i wanted something i really didn't need I went all out to try and please my parents.

As you may or may not already now, I attend the Culinary Institute of America. I am in training to be a chef so don't think I have no idea what I am talking about.

I am going to teach you how to make your parents a "Gourmet" meal they wont forget! So at the end of this year I had a Last Competition at my High School Culinary School. It was a chicken competition and I won first prize with this recipe I made up at the top of my head.

First thing First:
Look in your pantry and aquire some Ingredients.
You will need:
Fresh Cilantro- 1$ (find it at any Jewel, Dominicks, HI-Vee any supermarket)
Flour- (You have to have this!)
1 Lemon or some lemon juice
Pepper
Salt- (preferably kosher salt, find it in the kosher section of your SuperMarket)
Chicken Breast- (as many as you need to feed your family)
Potates- (one potatoe per person)
FResh Rosemary- (a few bucks at the super market)
Olive Oil
White Wine Vinegar- (In the Super Market) $5 tops
Mustard- (preferably dejon but I used regular because I didnt have dejon)
Chicken Stock- (or broth you can find this in cans at your local super market)-$0.50

Step 2- Mise En Place! ("Mise En Place" is french for gather what you need)
Gather everything please DO NOT start cooking right away. YOu may not have everything you need at then your final product wont be as good.

Step 3- Start Your Prep
Theres alot of prep work to be done. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. First you need to get a bowl with some cold water. Then start peeling your potatoes, placing the peeled potatoes into the cold water. Once you are done go find your mothers sharpest knife and cut the potatoes into 1 inch cubes. DONT WORRY THE WONT BE PERFECT IT TOOK ME A YEAR TO LEARN TO CUT PERFECT SQUARES. Once you are done you need to chop you cilantro and your rosemary. After that drain the potatoes and put them into a dry bowl. Toss the potatoes in about a tablespoon of olive oil per potatoe. Once thats done put about a tablespoon of rosemary per 2 potatoes you have. Put about a 1/2 teaspoon of pepper and Garlic powder (if you have it) into the potatoe bowl. Then put about 1 teapsoon of salt per potatoe as well. Toss the potatoes. Place the potatoes into an oven safe pan. Let them cook for about 20 minutes. or until they are tender (poke one with a fork if it goes in easy its good.

You need to quickly put together the sauce. go to your blender and put the cilantro, about 1/4 cup of white wine vineger, 3/4 cup of broth and about 2 table spoons of mustard. Blend it up for a few seconds until the ingredients are incorporated then set the sauce aside.

Next you are going to want to rinse your chicken breasts and pat them dry. Then sprinkle salt and pepper over each breast. Dont be Stingy! We dont want Bland Chicken! Put about 1/3 of a cup of flour in a bowl and but some pepper an salt in the flour as well. Next your going to want to find a good pan to cook your chicken in. If you have a non-stick pan that would be better. Heat about a tablespoon or two of olive oil in your pan. Make sure your fire is at medium hieght. Put each peice of chicken into the flour and shake any excess flour off. Once the oil is hot (you can tell its out if it is shimmering) almost like there are waves)place your chicken into the pan (Presentation side down!! Meaning the side that is going to be facing Up on your plate is the side you put down first). When your chicken is golden brown flip it. After both sides are brown remove from the pan and put it into an oven safe dish. Place into the oven until the internal temperature of the chicken is 158 degrees or about 12 minutes (you should check the temperature if you have a kitchen thermometer.

While the chicken is in the oven take the potatoes out. If you have a non stick pan just place the potatoes in it over medium heat to give the potatoes some nice color and crunch. if you do not have a non stick pan put some olive oil in your pan and you need to constantly shake the potatoes while they cook to keep them from sticking.

Once thats all done you just need to find a nice plate to put it all on. Here is how i did it, you can copy me =]:

Thats what it should look like ^^ =]

Now go search for your parents hidden wine bottles light a few candles and sit the down to dinner. Your parents will be to happy to say no to anything you ask them!

So now some 12 year old is gonna burn the house down all for a jtag just because he can't work a stove... nice tut but i'd prolly put 14+...

Far from best tut. You would be better off taking them to a fancy restaurant then making them something. I mean what if you suck at cooking lol. Besides not many of the younger members on the tech game actually know how to cook.
