And if you know anything about why America did that do Japan then you would know that in war your #1 objective is the safety of your soldiers and people. Sending more troops to Japan would cost America thousands, even hundreds of thousands more lives and risk another mainland attack. And Japan would NEVER admit defeat, its their culture. Did it kill hundreds of thousands of innocent lives? Yes, but they werent American lives- and in the end all that mattered to Truman was the safety of the people.

And dont get me wrong, what happened was completely inhumane.

Alright lets face facts here, its COMPLETE suicide for them to do this, sure they must feel threatened about not being a superpower but for them to do this is insane even worse than the massacre of their own people.

True America has a few allies BUT, if the USA does strike back some of the allies may feel pressured into joining the "war", now back, way back then, 50 or so years ago, many of Americas allies turned away war, becoming a neutral power, while Russia and some of Europe joined in. If this were to ever happen its just complete nonsense, i know im saying it a lot but really come on, they are willing to sacrifice their own people just to attempt to take out a super power?
