I had a repair job not that long ago where the dvd drive had stopped reading discs. I opened it up and there was a great big dent on top of the dvd drive. Turns out originally the tray wasn't opening properly so the guy used to hit it to get it to open which eventually led to the dvd laser burning out as the discs weren't lining up properly.
