I don't know I always heard you get 3 free one month accounts a year. I also don't know if you have to use a certain e-mail or not, at one point in time I heard that it will only work if you use hotmail, but I could be wrong. I think it might mess up online, because it won't give you the option to either stay silver, buy gold, or use the free month, better off just doing it on your console.
