Yep, the US would probably win in a war against North Korea, but if North Korea where of the verge of annexation, they'd more than likely use their nuclear weapons as a last resort, resulting in further use of nuclear weapons.

The USA probably has technology capable of destroying their nukes before they even left Korea.

I don't see the USA risking the use of Nuclear weapons on such weak opponents. Sure, if China got involved then it would happen, but Korea could be defeated with regular bombs.

Good points but remember, I'd rather have an army who are experienced, skilled and disciplined than an army five times bigger than any and all. The US have the best army in the world that only a few could compete with, and while China do have the biggest army, it doesn't necessarily mean they'd win.
I don't know why you called the US Army 'puny' just because they've a smaller army than China.

And yes, the British have the best trained special forces, but America ALONGSIDE Israel have the best trained forces. Also, Israel has the best Air Force in the world which could swing the tide of battle, if it were to be fought traditionally, and not with nuclear weapons. Sorry, this was a little rushed. I was just expressing the fact that China have a larger armed forces, did not mean in ANY way this meant they were better, truth is America's army is more trained than China's. Although, the Israeli army and the British army are better trained than the American army is. When I said "puny", I was meaning in size comparison. The fact is though, that WW3 WILL be fought with nuclear weapons, it's inevitable. Though, I do think that every country will try their best to prevent WW3. If N. Korea were to threaten to launch nuke's, I would presume it's allies would think of the consequences and just let them be nuked by other countries. NO country wants WW3 but if a single country changed their mind, it is VERY likely that every other country, even her allies would stop them from using nuclear weapons in any way posible, even if that meant to nuke them first.

Yes I agree that no country wants a World War III, and if there was, as you said, it'd be inevitable that it'd be fought with nuclear weapons.
Also, when you said "If N. If so, this is definitely not the case. If North Korea started a nuclear war, China wouldn't just sit back and wait for their own country to get bombed just to prevent further destruction. If the west launched nuclear weapons at North Korea, it'd probably take out most of Eastern Europe and all of Asia. Not to mention the fact that Alaska and Canada would get the radiation. Additionally, I don't really know but North-north America MIGHT just get some of the aftermath.

But yeah, as I previously said, if North Korea were to get bombed, China wouldn't wait there for themselves to get bombed, they'd just launch their weapons seeing as they're all going to die anyway. Furthermore, anything could go wrong in a nuclear weapon. The programming system could fail meaning a nuclear bomb designated for North Korea could land anywhere such as any country in Asia for example. Remember, this is modern technology and A LOT of things go wrong with modern technology (look at the recent problems the Boeing 787 has been having recently). Apologies, I'm rushing my replies! I meant that if N. Korea threatened other countries with nuclear weapons, China would back out and let N. Korea get f*cked up. It would be simpler for everyone and China would know if they got involved and helped N. Korea, the results for them would be horrific. Meaning China would completely ignore N. Korea, N. Korea would get bombed and China would be left alone thus every other country is fine apart from maybe South Korea and possible a small fraction of china because of radiation but again, this would be the simplest answer to evade and prevent WW3. If, however, China were going to be nuked, yes, they would launch their nuke's everywhere just to take everyone else down with them.

Oh right, sorry, I just misread your post! And yes, that would be the easiest way to avoid World War III but a large section of China, if not all of it, would get radiation poisoning and it'd be quite catastrophic as they're relatively close to North Korea.

Remember Chernobyl in the 80's? ('86 I think, though I might be wrong), well the southern UK got some of the radiation but not enough to cause lasting damage. A few nuclear weapons would be 5-10+ times more deadlier than this.

Also, since this new leader is young and wants to prove himself, he's more than likely willing to prove himself by showing other countries he isn't afraid and if declaring war/launching nuclear weapons if what it takes, then he'll do it.

Being 'willing to prove himself' against the most powerful nation in the world is only going to get himself killed and destroy his poverty stricken desperate little country.

North Korea is like that little kid in school who acts tough and always tries to beat up the weak kids, but eventually he messes with the wrong person and gets knocked out.

As I said earlier, UNDERESTIMATION is America's greatest flaw... you think EVERY country is 'weak' compared to your pathetic country. And yes, South Korea would probably resent America is they blew up North Korea just like that as they'd demolish South Korea also, providing not everyone in South Korea died.

You put Italy, Brazil and South Korea on the list but not Israel? Like you said Russia and China isn't a guaranteed alliance and the two countries are constantly bickering at each other. If WW3 ever happened it would be NATO vs Pakistan, North Korea, Syria, China and maybe Russia or maybe China vice versa.

It doesn't really matter who the video was made by, it matters that underestimation is America's greatest flaw.

We didn't underestimate anything, we had suspicion that they were building nuclear weapons but we don't want to just go out of our ways to say it. We have to wait until it's confirmed, which is recently was. Where do you get all these statements from anyways?

Actually, China hates North Korea. Please explain why China would wipe out there biggest export? Seriously, your logic is flawed.

China, and Japan would wipe out Korea if Korea even thought of attacking us, simply because of the economical importance we have towards each country.
