yes it does you can even have lucid dreams in a sense while conscious if your brain is having heavy clusters of theta and delta waves this is what Archimedes was doing to him self with the pipe trick i mentioned earlier.
while using neuro feedback on a person you can use theta delta and alpha to keep a person fully awake but within a "Lucid dream" state. Its called temporal theta treatment you inhibit the brain from fully going into sleep with alpha spikes while rewarding the build up of theta with in key areas of the brain. It brings on a more intense form of awake dreaming but with the patient remaining fully conscious so that they are able to be in 100% control of where their thoughts go and what they choose to reflection on while under the treatment.

These little devices will most likely in conjunction with neuro feed back pc based software and hardware will soon be replacing most mood stabilizing drugs such as Adderall as well as PTSD medications and other drugs used to help alleviate other social and mental idiosyncrasies that impair the end user greatly in every day life let alone the potential of mental optimization these devices bring to the average person on a whole.
