If there is then surely something has to happen i mean you know now we can see etc and we feel if we die we can still see something no matter what if you know what i mean but if its nothing i can not imagine what it would be like or feel like and i know we probably would not feel at all but it is just weird to me.. any of you every wonder what it is if its nothing i mean i know its sorta answering my own question when i say nothing but you know...
hard to explain.

I understand what you mean.
It depends if you feel that perception is separate from the mind and conscience or attached to it.
Personally, I think it is attached, so when the brain dies, the mind dies, the conscience dies and therefore perception dies.
There is just nothing.
It's a hard concept to grasp, probably one of the hardest, but do you remember what it was like before you were born? It will be the same.

if consciousness isn't directly related to your physical body (quantum consciousness or some jazz) then maybe there is.
but i doubt it, everything shuts down and you just... die. no 'blackness'... just nothing.

We do know. The brain regulates these things, once its dead, you're dead, and everything you ever knew is dead. There isn't anything going on inside your head anymore.

That's the thing. You can't visualize, think, or "know" while dead (in this situation). There is nothing, you are no longer.

Well when u think about it your brain is very powerful at 100% power which it's basically at when u r asleep that's y it's hard to tell the difference between a dream and reality but when u die your brain still works for 8 minutes so in that 8 minutes your brain is at 100% power so if u are catholic or something and u imagine heaven when u die IF it is nothing u will dream about heaven
