I saw a documentary that we saw the submarines and planes and just ignored them thinking they were ours. That could be what they meant. I've never heard about us being warned.

But I don't see why we would want to be attacked? That doesn't make sense. People might say "Oh so it's an actual reason for us to be in the war" Genocide would be an actual reason but we don't acknowledge things unless they happen to us... That's what destroys us as people.

This is just a thought I had while pondering on the topic, Mr. Roosevelt used the Pearl Harbor attack for a reason to jump into the war, because it would be a little strange if we jumped in without having a reason. You know what I mean?

Yes it was planned it is all true but the reason Roosevelt did nothing to warn the troops at Pearl Harbor was because he wanted us to enter the World War in order to grow industries that develop guns an weapons that got us out of the economic issues we where facing and the only way was to allow the attack take place we couldn't have came out and be like "hey where joining the war now lets go bomb some bitches" no it doesn't work like that.

Yes It Was Planned But The Movie Is Good

It may not have been planned but the US government DEFINITELY knew about it. The occupancy of the harbor itself on that day was at an all-time low because nearly every single aircraft carrier stationed there was fully-loaded and sent out the day before the attack occurred. Sure, I mean, it would make sense if they had a mission or something but there is footage that we watched in my US History class (yes, conspiracy was my teacher's favorite) that showed either 7 or 8 aircraft carriers huddled together about 400 miles offshore, with NO destroyers around to protect them. Every aircraft carrier was assigned at least 2 destroyers to protect them while in open water and there my whole class saw...8 carriers, 0 destroyers.

The government moved nearly all "precious cargo" out to protect it and let the Japanese bring down the rain. We NEEDED to incite war, with The Great Depression ripping the country apart we NEEDED to get out somehow. It has happened before (the U.S.S Maine, anyone?) and it has happened again ( Yes, I do believe that some foul play was involved in 9/11) and it WILL happen again in my lifetime.

The US has found it's niche in the world: it's the defender, it is like the coiled snake. Never attacking unless provoked. Sometimes, however, they shoot themselves in the foot in the name of freedom.

I had read about something like this before and there was alot of comments saying they allowed pearl harbor to happen so they could bomb Hiroshima and have a valid reason why they did it. I'm not sure if it's true or not but I believe they did know it was going to happen and did nothing

Japan sent a telegram to the president that said they were going to attack Pearl Harbor, but the president didn't get the telegram untilPearl Harbor was already attacked.
