What's better, a XFX Radeon 7970 or an ASUS Gtx 680?

It depends on what you're trying to accomplish in terms of physical setup and games you're wanting to play. Technically, the 7970 is better value, more specifically if you get in a bundle with 3(+) games.

If the 550ti is almost as good as the 7970 and the 680 is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the 550ti then what should you get? Obviously the 680.

yeah IF but ist not, HD 7770 is better that a GTX 550Ti
680 is better for thing like Adobe apps, but is scores very similar to the HD 7970 when it comes to game, if you are looking to play games with 3 monitors then HD 7970 will be a better option

Dohohoho.
The 7970 is cheaper and better in most games. It can also generally be had with a much better cooler than the 680 for base prices. I hate to say it's a no-brainer, but it's a no-brainer, even with the current deal on the 680.

It destroys the 680 in multiple-card, multiple-monitor scenarios as well: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
