Yes you can when I ranked up to knife it was in a custom game.

In custom games you can, if you don't mess around with any of the settings.

Yea u can. My buddy ranked up to the knife and he only has 746 kills and 195 downs. He has no leaderboards rounds but his friend had him in a bunch of custom town survival games and they made it to 35 & 40 for a week straight . Of course the " knife guy " was in the Semtex glitch all that time and my other friend got his shotguns.

You can change any and all settings and still rank up. It's not how the game is set up, it's how u play it that counts toward ranking up/down.

Your stats will count and you can rank up its just your round won't count on the leaderboards.
