My belief is that you have to download a developers version of redsn0w...

But if you talk to people in the Forums/f=161/ios-device-discussion.html forum then they will be of more help to you

From what I've heard you need to be running a mac OS and use Xcode. You can always try VM for the OS..

i would recommend using the unity game engine you can code your game in that for ios and when u want to test your game just download the unity ios app off of the app store connect to your pc ip and it will test your game inside of the iphone without having to put it on the app store or use the developers feature on red snow. But if you dont want to make a game i would the red snow developer tool. Hope that helped

You would have to have the following:
-Mac OS X Snow Leopard and up
-xCode
-iDevice Developer Account ($99/year)https://developer.apple.com/programs/ios/
-iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, iPod
-A Non-Virtual Machine (Hackintosh would work fine.)

The Android Operating system is different, you can code with it with the following resources:
-Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux computers
-Eclipse
-Google Play Developer Account ($25/lifetime)https://play.google.com/apps/publish
-Android device or emmulator
-Java
