Establish wroteMimz wrote This may be sort of long when I'm finished but,
@The people jumping on the PC bandwagon.
Choosing a PC because of the money your spending is less, is idiotic.
Around 1,000 for a PC that could last you long enough to not have to upgrade constantly. While, consoles cost maybe around 400 every 7 or 8 years max.
You never have to upgrade a console, you do with gaming PC's.
EVENTUALLY, you will be spending less then console users. With a console, all games are guaranteed to work with the console if it's made for it.
Also, the chances of a virus or anything similar demolishing a console requiring new parts are slim.
So in reality, a console is more cost effective for people who don't have the extra 1000$ to throw around.
@People commenting on Xbox 360 Slim as a major release.
It was an upgrade. I can buy a new game, and still play it on an arcade. The only thing different is some hardware and the features it includes.
It wasn't necessary for the upcoming games. I could have stuck with my Xbox Pro and never worried about replacing it until now. It was a ploy to sell more consoles without offering much.
Also, why come on the Xbox 720 forums, just to say "No. Because PC's are better...blah blah"
What's the point? Just go onto the PC Gaming forums and leave it be, it just makes you seem like you want attention. You're basically causing a console vs PC war.
OT:
Yep. But I'm seeing the release games before I purchase it. If I'm not interested in any of the games, I'm just going to wait until a game is released that I'm interested in playing.
1) You don't need to have $1000 to build a good gaming PC
2) Games on Steam are a lot cheaper than their console counterparts
3) If you are getting a 720, you have to include the regular cost of Live ($300 over 5 years)
Very late response, but I even mentioned earlier that a good PC without worrying about upgrades. I got a laptop in 2008 for 700. It lasted a few years before newer games couldn't be played.
So
1) 600$ + Upgrade costs to play a game effectively
2) True but not completely. PC games are cheaper. But a lot of games are the same price. Either way, it's 10-20$ cheaper.
3) I don't have to include anything. If I didn't buy live I wouldn't be spending that. I hardly even purchase live on the 360 as it is. Actually, plenty of games charge you to play online for PC, so if you have an active subscription to Runescape and WoW that's already something like 30$ a month? You pay for Xbox Live and get the games online features without paying any other price.
Once again, what's the point of even commenting on this if your going to just talk about how PC is "amazing".

Read the kids answer.
That's to play on max settings, yet with a console you buy an HDMI cable for 15$ and just plug it into a HDTV. Max settings accomplished.

I personally love it when people say no going to get a gaming pc as consoles are released mor often yes but your spending and changing on a gaming pc changing graphics card, processors and the rest your spending more and more money but with a console stick the game in and your good to go.
And I personally don't know if I will get I will if my friends get it as I like chatting to mates can't stand playing on my own gaming is boring when you play by yourself
