i have heard allot of rumors that gta 5 will be single player only is this true.

No. They will of course add multiplayer. GTA V wouldn't be as fun if you couldn't mess around in free roam with friends.

There will certainly be multiplayer and they've already said it'll blow GTA 4's out of the water.

What kind of question is this? Ofc they would have multiplayer, pretty sure if GTA 4 had it then GTA 5 going to too.
