I dont know why people go in to the achievement and post saying stuff like 3 year member, 2 year member...How is that an achievement? And I bet most of thoes people made an account a long time ago and I just got back to it. People with 3 year member and 100 posts...

Pretty much everyone on TTG knows what a spam fest the achievements section is by this point. The thing is though, post count really does not mean that much. A 4 year member could post once, but that post could be the most helpful post on the entire site and people would respect that. The best you can do is just respect the veterans of this site (not saying that just because I'm a 2 year).
I understand why you're annoyed by this, but it really isn't that big of an issue.

I've been here for two years and active ever since, never once have I posted in that section and I have a little over 100 posts. I only post to contribute, to help people or to distribute knowledge.
Don't hate on someone because they have a low post count and a high tenure, it just means they don't spam posts like 85% of people on here.

It's an achievement because they have been registered for such a lengthy amount of time, regardless of whether they were active or not.

Watch when he gets 1 year, 2 year, etc. He'll make a milestone post.

3 years either way is still an accomplishment. Just because someone has been here a long time with little posts doesn't mean they aren't active. They come here for news on gaming and what not. I know that I went a very long time just getting on, reading the latest stories and getting off.

Members consider that an achievement because it shows how long ago they joined the site, and how much has happened throughout that time.
Think of it this way, why do you celebrate your birthday? that's not an achievement.

People are saying that 100 posts in 2+ years is helpful, I kind of disagree. That means in 730 days, your average post rate per day is 0.13, which is terrible. You may say that you only post when helping, but there is A LOT of posts to help on, you can also contribute to the website by doing things such as commenting on other peoples work, commenting on news (also counts towards post count). etc. etc. I believe that members that have been here for 1 year should AT LEAST be on 500 posts. If not more. Rant over. (for me)
