Hall wrote LOL, I'm an atheist. I don't understand the point of this post.

Well, in case you didn't know, these are the 10 commandments. You know, the ones from the Bible? This guy is pointing them out so anyone who is interested can read them. Next time, atheist, if you don't understand the point of a post, you don't have to comment on it. Just ignore it.

Well if he has the right to post a topic supporting a religion, I have the right to reply to it expressing my absence of such. The rights are shared my friend.

I didn't say that you didn't have the right to do that. All I am saying is that if you don't understand what he is talking about, you didn't have to snarkily reply saying that you "didn't understand", and point out you are an atheist. Of course you wouldn't understand, because you are an atheist. It would be like me going to some guy who wears a turban, and me saying "Hey, I'm Christian. I don't understand the point of wearing a that thing on your head."

Well obviously I understand the point of the commandments, I understand religion, I used to be religious, I found flaws, and therefore now I reject it. But that isn't what we're talking about here, I said I didn't understand because I didn't understand the point of the post. To remind people of the commandments? If you are religious or care, you'd know them or would look them up. I know what I'm talking about, I don't think you know what I'm talking about, but it wouldn't be the first time soo.. don't feel too bad.

Well, if you read the beginning of the post, he clearly said and I quote:

We can assume that he was telling us them, in case we didn't know them. Which is good, as they are great values to live by. Oh, and as for your last comments, are you trying to imply that everyone that isn't religious "doesn't know what they're talking about"? If so, this just confirms my view that atheists look down on everyone that is religious. By the way, I have thought about atheism, but to be quite honest, I can't grasp how some people honestly think that there isn't a God, that there isn't a force that made things happen the way they are today. I know you, being the atheist, will point to evolution, the Big Bang, etc, but I don't see why they aren't tools that were used in creation.

I wasn't implying anything, I'm saying atheists are viewed as uneducated people who don't know enough about religion to find an accurate view on it. But I'm not going into the reasons I believe a higher power doesn't exist, that is not what this is about, its about the pointlessness of this topic's creation. That is all. This topic did not need to be created, any time a specific religion is put into the spotlight anywhere in the public, this happens. Believe what you believe, I really don't care, I just don't need to see it as much as I do.

I don't mean to sound judgmental but if you're forgetting the foundations of your own Religion, something which you're supposed to commit your life to ahead of everything else, then they have a serious pascals wager complex going on.

I doubt being reminded of them would matter in the end.

People just get a long. Sure you can have your opinion but just don't argue. Everyone has their own rites.

No, I would actually say that Christians, at least among those who are atheists, are viewed as uneducated people who apparently don't know enough about science to see that there "is no god". Honestly, your post was pointless. This topic is basically making more people aware of the commandments, which is a good thing. If you thought this topic was pointless, you didn't have to post. Any time a specific religion is put into the spotlight anywhere in the public, an atheist such as yourself has to "comment" and say stuff that is completely irrelevant, such as "I'm an atheist", and "I don't see the point of someone posting this religious thing". If you don't need to see it, and again, if you don't care, you didn't need to post your irrelevant, pointless and snarky comment in the first place.

most of the stuff about god is made up, but i do believe something created us in the beginning but i dont think that "thing" is still around. And i believe you should have the right to pray and worship "god" but dont go over board with it and let it consume your life.
