There is more to skating than tricks. Some people just like the actual skating part. If someone got them into it, I don't see the problem. It's exercise. I know Vans were considered skating shoes at one point. I have never skated in my life but love Vans. They are durable and very comfortable. I don't believe skating actually has a style. I remember most skaters used to have a punk style, but I never said the skate scene was a punk one. If they want to get into skating because of a famous person, then by all means let them. It's better than what they could be getting into.

I said earlier its fun but they are not trying that they are bragging about like what they can do on a board. And have like ripped shoes and boards even though they dont shred, like they are annoying to people that actually skate and not just to look cool and fit in with the fad.

i think the people who buy a skateboard because their favorite rapper pretends he can skate are stupid. I dont agree with everything you said because i dont skate, but i like the way skate shoes look so i wear them. i dont think there is anything wrong with that.

Yes skaters have a look, Im only generalizing nothing is 100 percent. And no they are not being different all just like rappers that skate now in 2012/13 and now they take pictures tailsliding but just a set up, they brag how they can skate but when In a game of skate they cant do jack squat. So yes, Im going to complain. And I actually started skating after playing skate games, but I didn't go bragging I can skate and all this stuff when I obviously couldn't. I still dont brag now because I dont skate to be cool. And you being 6'2 and liking Waka Flocka is irrelevant.
