So I have a xbox that won't read games because of the disk drive, and I was thinking on buying a RROD xbox and swaping the dvd drives. I just don't want to go buy a RROD xbox and this not work. So would this work? or would I need a specific dvd drive?

-Error wrote you would be better off buuying a new disc driveI know I would but to get a new one they usally cost around $30 and thats how much the RROD xbox is and I'll have it for parts, but do you know if it'll work?
