If your friend hot swapped their xbox, can you their modded game onto your hard drive

EXAMPLE:
My friend is modding his GTA TBOGT but hes installing the modded game into my hard drive. Will that work?

nope i tryed that. it come's up with an error saying you have to use the hdd with the xbox you hotswapped on:( hope that helps
