Today, Kotaku stated that an anonymous source has gave them further information on the next PlayStation. For those raising their eyebrows, the source has been reliable in the past ,as it is the same source that gave them the Ps4 and next Xbox code names in 2012, so the following information is most likely true.

The first bit of information is the PS4 price tag(s). There is reportedly two models on release: A $429 model and a $529 model. It is unclear what the difference between the two is, but one can assume it is something to do with the amount of data that the consoles can hold. It is unlikely that the two console will have very different specs otherwise, but only time can tell.

The source also leaked that the Ps4 can be controlled via mobile devices such as phones and tablets. Information is scare as of now, but the source did reveal that you'll be able to chat with friends and queue downloads for your console to start on - similar to Microsoft's Smart-Glass.

Another cool feature is that you will be able to spectate your friends playing; even if you don't have the game they are playing. Not to much information is known about this, but maybe we will see a built-in live streaming service to popular sites such as YouTube or Twitch.

Finally, the source stated that most of the Ps4's online services will require a subscription , similar to Xbox Live. The features that you get by purchasing this are unknown, but the source did mention that most features will require the subscription, particularly online play! Furthermore, it was also revealed that PS Plus will bizarrely be renamed to PlayStation World.

As of now, all this information is simply rumor. With tomorrow (20th) being the date of Sony's mysterious "Future of PlayStation" conference, we may not have to wait long to see if any truth lies behind the rumors!
