Is it possible for a person who has a PHD in cryptography and is a professional to crack a game code? There's a game I like but the people who make it closed down. we want to edit stuff to this game but the Game Engine is very strict and won't allow us to do so unless we crack it. so Is it possible? and Is it illegal?

It is very possible; however very difficult. It is also very illegal depending on circumstance.

Is the copyright voided?

I'm not sure if it's voided. I certainly hope not! How do I check if it's voided? The company doesn't exist anymore.
