America should do a system like Australia. In america, you could just go buy a gun but in Australia you have too do training for that gun, have a gun licence and you get the gun like 30 days later and nothing on your record.
You also get traffic stops and all the police have peoples names who own guns.
It is very uncommon that someone gets shot her, it does happen but it is a targeted attack and a safer way.
It seems in Americas case, you can't just ban all guns. That will cause war. But think about if no-one had a gun, how safe would it be?

More regulations to buy a gun. Most times when someone wants to buy a gun it's just a background check on criminal activity but they should also look at medical records to see if you have ever had a physiological problem. Another thing they could do is at gun shows maybe actually ask for proof of you gun license(I know alot of people who have walked into a gun show asked for a gun showed their Driver license stating they where over 21 and walked right out with the gun, ammo, sights or whatever.)Now the only time they do this now is if your applying for a Class 3 Gun License. For a Class 3 it's background check, federal check, FDA check, medical check, a 3-5 month training course(Safety and Handling),much intricate and detailed on the guns and everything about them, and it's only for business(mostly FFL Dealer) or if you where in the military. Class 3 license allows full auto weapons, higher magazine size(if your state has restrictions) suppressors, and explosives. Getting a class 3 license isn't easy and can take up to 2 years to get.

I think it's dumb because when they ban them the people they tried to ban them from will still acquire them anyways, and the people who don't deserve to have them taken away won't be able to have them.

I don't think they should ban guns but make it harder to get your hands on them, because almost anyone can get a gun, so I think they should just make them more difficult to get.

most fatalities from guns are from handhelds... assault weapons are for recreation, so many people own an AR15 and they are really fun to shoot. Banning assault weapons would have absolutely no affect except for the fact that it would piss off people who like to shoot

Thank you if anything it's the pistol. Pistols are small you can have a holster for them or put them in your pocket and nobody will know. The standard AR-15 is 20 inches long people can't conceal that unless underneath a jacket or coat but even then you would see the barrel(unless the jacket is to their feet) or how their hand is positioned on holding the handle or stalk.
