So me and my friends were having a discussion about living forever. We all think that ONE day in our life time, that their will be a drug made (pill, injection or whatever..) that will make you live forever! Even my R.E teacher has very strong views on this as he was the one that told all of us.
Personally I think the government have already created this drug but will not release it.
The only problem if this drug is released it that, if the whole world gets the drug, the world will just keep becoming more over populated leaving eventually no food ect.
Does anyone else have any views on this?

This would be impossible as the human body will shut down as you can't live forever

It could happen, also we may have the ability later on in the future to just clone items in our own homes, who knows.

I don't think this is possible now.
We aren't as advanced in chemistry and biology as people think we are, to slow down or even stop the ageing process will take hundreds of years in my opinion.

As for I do not see this as being out of the realm. But the likely-hood of it being created in our lifetime is farfetched. We've spent countless time and money and resources on finding a cure for severe forms of cancer, and so far we have yet to find something.
But what I believe is, the government possess things, only we can dream of. I believe we have a cure for every form of cancer, and much more. But they hold back due to it killing 600,000 people a year. Which allows newborns to take their place.
Now if you were to release a drug for immortality, thus giving humans to live forever. Your just inhabiting the earth with just that much more people. Which would then result in the inhabiting of other planets, so we can go and destroy them as well.
So to sum it up, in my opinion, I don't believe immortality should be in the hands to anyone.

I love how people always say the government isn't releasing things on their conspiracy posts. If the government had a revolutionary find, they would announce it.

Who would want such a thing? Why would you want to live forever, to not die even when the most catastrophic could happen, you will still not die. And why blame the government? If they have such things, then why are they still aging and dying?
