Basically, America helped South Korea during the Korean war, and now they feel as though Americans take over everything they look at, they view America as imperialist and anybody who says any different within North Korea is thrown into concentration camps, just like Hitler did to any Germans who spoke against Nazism during WW2 and throughout the 1930's.
45,000 That were held in Concentration camps by only 1933 were Hitler's political opponents.
The Germans who stood up to him, heroes in a sense.

North Korea has hated the USA for decades.
However the very recent threats about starting a war stem from the USA and West putting new regulations on North Korea, and NK doesn't like it.

Shooting a Nuclear missile at a country isn't like poking it repeatedly in the school yard...

I explain it as short as I can.

US is a on a power trip. US found nuclear weapons in NK. US won't leave them alone about it, so NK is getting angry.

Basically is like brother and sister getting in a argument. It will be over soon and nothing will happen, people are getting all worked up over nothing.

As LightYear said it's not something to be brushed off. They haven't launched one at the US and if they did and for whatever reason it hit it wouldn't be like "Oh we got a hit by a nuke time to fire one back" It would cause chaos and panic until people felt safe again. Plus if the nuke hit the waters nearby would get irradiated and that would travel in the ocean and then the radiation from the nuke would travel through the air. Now I'm not saying to live in fear that they will do this as it is most likely another empty threat but just don't think a nuke hitting can be brushed off easily.
