I am new to pc gaming, I play mostly League of Legends due to the fact it's one of the only game I can play on my school computer. I need a PC to play more games! Nothing to new as in Crysis 3, I don't need a 1000$ gaming rig, just something to get me by, play a little cs and cod, and have it run smooth. I have a sample build, It's a tad over 600:

A pretty good $600 build. The choice of the case is yours but I just picked the bitfenix prodigy because the parts in this build would fit perfectly in that case.

Intel Core i3-3220 Processor
Gigabyte Radeon HD 7850 Graphics Card
Asus P8-H77-I Motherboard
8GB Samsung DDR3 1600MHz RAM
500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue Hard Drive
Bitfenix Prodigy Case
430W Corsair CX430 Power Supply

Total: around $600

Im gonna take what you said, and tweak it a bit.

AMD FX-4100 Quad Core 3.6ghz [4.2ghz OC]
MSI Radeon HD 6850 Graphics Card (Better Benchmarks)
Gigabyte 970A-D3 Rev 1.1 or 3
8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz RAM (Can save a buck by only buying 4GB which is optimal)
1TB Seagate Barracuda
Cooler Master Haf Mid Tower
750W Corsair Builder PSU
Lite-On optical Drive (Super Standard, don't really need anything fancy)

Total is $654.87

If you need anymore help or would like more budget build opinions feel free to PM me and I can ask some of my close friends what they may have to say.

@both the above builds.

1. Mode, I love the prodigy but it's too expensive(and itx motherbaords are too expensive) unless you really want an itx build. He could get a cheaper case and motherboard. E.x: This mATX board is $30 cheaper.

And this case is $20 cheaper but still a real good case.

With the $20 saved he could even could a regular atx board.

2. Winry - I wouldn't recommend a last generation card, but that's just me. And a 750w psu is way too overkill.

I see where newer models could be a better choice but In my experience the 7000 series really disappointed me IMO.

Reason for the 750w is that sometimes GFX Cards under heavy loads (SMH at dirty thoughts) seem to choke the PSU (again with those thoughts) and its just a mess (omg..) having the computer restart repeatedly. If anything lets lower the wattage anywhere from 500-600.

In my personal experience with my GTX 660, my 700w was choking up as to why I bought a 750 and since then no issues.

The 7970 I use to have ran fine on a 600w psu, I guess that 660 is more power hungry than the 7970.
