hey guys i've recently had some problems converting my recordings into mp4...
it seems to record in TS or IFO idk but it won't let me put it into any type of editing software so if some1 could post a video format converter that would be great also it would be awesome if a mod or some1 could confirm it or show a virus scam result thanks in advance

You shouldn't need one.
Put your DVD into your computer that has the videos and pictures or whatever you have on it.
Open up an editing software.
Click import from media and choose DVD.
**I am not sure what video editor you are using but many editors should have this option. (Or some close alternative option to this).
Then you should be able to exort it as a movie. If not, you need a better video editor that could do that
