rXz_RiOTzZ wrote Sorry to bring this back up, but even if we find other life out there, how would we understand them? Just on Earth, there are plenty of different languages. How do we know they'd speak English, Spanish, Russian, etc?
We may be able to find them, but understanding them? Thats a completely different story.
That reminds me of something >_>
I don't know what, but aliens show up and humans fly a dove towards them, the sign for peace, the aliens misinterpret it or it is their sign for war for or something and they start shooting.
What was that from? >_>

Lionel_Messi wrote I honestly believe we have been visited and even helped by Aliens in the past.
For Example, the Pyramids of Egypt would have been close to impossible to build back in that time with their technology.
The Universe has many galaxies, There at least has to be SOME bacteria on other planets. If I'm not mistaken we found Bacteria on Mars. Mars actually is very similar to us, It may get colder on Mars then on Earth but if Mars had an atmosphere we would be able to live on it with no problem.
Until we find a way to travel in Light Speed and visit other galaxies, we will never find out. I don't expect that to happen for ATLEAST another 100-1,000 years.
Sorry for this, I'm trying not to flame, however;
Firstly I understand people who say they believe we have been visited by aliens, fair enough, I am just skeptical of this subject. But helped? And using the pyramids as an example? No. The only "technology" they needed and used was a slave labour force thousands strong. "But WAD3, they built is so quickly, they said it only took them like 11 years to build!".. Hmm, maybe they lied?
Secondly, no bacteria was not found on mars, however scientists do believe that martian bacteria landed on earth between 10000 and 20000 years ago (can't remember how long). Your facts are half right, do a bit of background reading on the subject, you might find it interesting.
And it is extremely unlikely that in the next 100-1000 years we will be travelling light speed. Baring in mind that the fastest ever man made object is the satellite Voyager 1, travelling at around 10.7 miles per second, the speed of light is 186,282 miles per second. Just putting it into perspective for you.

Some of the stones used to construct the pyramids and other monolithic structures weigh more than modern day cranes could lift.
No matter how many slaves you have pushing and pulling a stone, even if they did have some rope pulleys, could they have pushed these rocks uphill and into such precise formations.

I definitely have no doubt about it. Taken into account the size of the observable universe, and the universe as a whole, there is no doubt in my mind that there is life on other planets. You may argue because other life wouldn't be able to sustain, but why not? I don't see why life on other planets wouldn't be molded around the environment that they are in. Just like deep sea creatures. They don't need the sun, because they are too far down to even see it, and as far as we know, they don't know it even exists.
Many religious people would argue this fact, but then again, their views are totally different from a person who actually studies what is beyond Earth and what not.
I could go on for hours about this fact, but it's just common sense.

Yeah, judging the size of the universe, hell, even our galaxy, there are very high chances of life out there. Though, those pictures we see of other galaxies, there are very high chances that they dont exist any more, which brings the chances of life out there very low.

ell think of it like this, there is thousands of stars and planets identified and most likely millions that arnt identified yet and places like mars they have found ice and water and things like that so i think there could be life on other planets after all cause why would just our planet have millions of species of animals?
