Like the thing is though I'd rather have a mic that has very good quality for gaming but can also be used for good commentaries. Are they good enough for that or should I get a different one?

Astro's were made for MLG players, they have amazing sound quality while inside the game but for the microphone itself it's not the best for commentators, you should search other type of microphone not a HEADSET. There are special microphones online that will guarantee you a comfortable commentary.

Edit- Snowballs are better quality then a lot of headsets.

You want to pick up a blue snowball, it isn't a headset but it's what most major gamers use whilst commentating, they give you awesome quality and are often not too pricey, you could probably pick one up for the price of those tritons!
