Hi,
I know I have just posted about this but I thought I'd make it more easier to understand.

Basically if I have a DVD burner not capable of burning dual layer discs will it stop the burn.
Or would it finish the burn and then not play on a dual layer DVD player?

It would only burn like 50%, or it wouldn't allow you to burn it because the file is too big and the dual layer discs are 8.5 gb while most single layer discs are 4.7 gb. So no you wouldn't be able to finish the burn.
