Well people I know you have all seen the trailer if you haven't seen it I highly suggest that you guys check it out below. It shares a lot of new info never seen before.

You can see the trap in the background.

Now if you know anything about really high round in zombies like 100+ most people use the traps because most of the wonder weapons in BO1 did not drop powerups and recycling a gun in the box is super annoying in the high rounds. That wasn't a problem in Die Rise well because you could kill 100+ zombies with the sliquifier no problem and still get a max ammo. While with the ThunderGun no power ups would be drop so unless you wanted to hit the box for ages you would just simply build points and hit the traps. This made 100+ rounds extremely easy for good players. As people might know in Die Rise the sliquifier was patched a couple times. Once to add extra puddles after every couple zombies die and the most upsetting one the fact that it starting making crawlers after 100. This discouraged many legit players and many didn't try for it after the patch. As time shows Treyarch does not want to make any map remotely easy for high rounds as in the new patch for Tranzit they made the old JetGun glitch where the JetGun wouldn't charge up too much to a point where you were you could constantly kill the zombies, but now Treyarch has once again upset their players by patching a glitch that only just saved time.

Now to the main point of the topic if Treyarch were really to put traps in the new map Mob of the Dead it has to have a catch with it. Now I could be close to correct or just plain out wrong, but I believe in order to hit the trap each time you would have to re-charge it in this new After-Life mode which I believe is to power and interact with many things around the map. So maybe everytime you use the trap you have to change into this "After-Life" and recharge it.
