New gun control laws will not effect school shootings public shootings and all crimes committed with firearms, the law will only effect the people that follow it as people who commit these crimes do not follow it.

I am against additional gun control, but this is rather incoherent.
Adam Lanza was not a criminal UNTIL he decided to shoot up the school.

Unless I'm not understanding you.

I'm sorry I meant by it that the all of the new laws/polices created will not effect the people that choose not to follow the law, it will only effect people that choose to follow it is what I meant unless I'm not understanding you either.

You mean criminals will still be able to get guns through the Black market so infringing on the general populations' right to have guns won't matter and it will leave them more vulnerable to attack because they won't have guns?

I think I understand you now.

Now you're just twisting what I'm saying, I'm not talking about 'black market' or anything like that I'm talking about the general public and how it will not change chances of crimes with firearms being committed.

This isn't strictly true, it will not affect the amount of these shootings as dramatically as it is made out for people to believe.

But it will restrict how easy it is to purchase the larger weapons, such as assault rifles etc, and make it harder for people who do want to commit these crimes to access these weapons. Although of course not impossible.
