Recycled wrote heres a tIp
EZCAP - CHEAT - 360P
DAZZLLE - CHEAP - 480P
ROXIO - EXPENSIVE - 720P
HD PVR - EXPENSIVE - 720/1080P
ELGATO - MORGAGE:d - 720/1080P
Gotta call you out. The Roxio is 1080p also. Roxio and Elgato are the two best. Neither require power from an A/V. Also, the both have the most user-friendly interface and easy to use. Both have the lowest compression rate (Good. Small files even in HD.)
I own the Roxio HD Pro, its 1080p/720p and the Roxio is 480p. HD PVR 2 is just a hazard.

this is a Roxio Game Capture HD Pro it records in 1080p its easy to use and it's only 100 dollars. so its cheaper than the hd pvr's and the elgato it would be perfect if you want to save up to get a good recording device to record clips for your youtube

Just so people here actually know lets compare frames, is the quality native or upscaled, and user-friendly?
Elgato - 150$ average. - 720p/30fps // 1080p/60fps - 4mb/s compression rate - Native - Yes, first Capture Card to ever have a Live Commentary feature built in. (Other Capture Cards you need to use Audacity etc.)
Roxio HD Pro - 120-130$ - 720p/30fps // 1080p/60fps - Native - 7mb/s compression rate - Highly user-friendly, comes with a Editing Program that is super nice and simple. Meets all your needs.
HD PVR 2 - 160$ - 130$ - 720p/30fps // Upscaled 1080i/30fps - Yes, easy to record and change quality. - Upscaled - 13.5mb/s Compression (Bad Quality + Huge files!)
Over all.
Elgato: 10/10
Roxio: 10/10
HD PVR 2: 7/10
All these details are made up from basic knowledge.
