I'm on round 40 solo and i have to go. i don't want to have to put myself down (3 extra times) just to leave. if i pause and leave the game will it still count towards leader boards?

or sorry miss read what you said and noo you cant pause the game a leave it wont count you will have to put your self down or just get a zombie to kill you and let your self bleed out

Yes it will count.

But if you're worried about it you could always use the electric boxes on the wall, to take away all of your after life tokens.
