The new Norton is fantastic. Arguably the best you can get if you're paying for an AV.

If you want something free, go for Avast. AVG is fine too.

I use Malwarebytes on my PC and Kaspersky on my laptop, and as I am aware I have had no viruses since I bought them.

I recommend both of them.

Root is a strong person in computing but im pretty sure he dosen't download much, so i woudnt really go for the new norton and cause N360 was bad.
I download mp3s and torrents all the time
I have Avast AV it work good, and even has a gaming feature. Just youtube a guide to crack and no more viruses.

Why would you crack free software? The free version plenty adequate. Also, yes, I know older versions of Norton were not good. I'm talking about 2013.

If you don't want to pay, grab Microsoft Security Essentials, and if you can get MalwareBytes' Anti Malware too!

MSE doesn't perform nearly as well as the other free options like Avast and AVG, but it does have the best interface by a longshot. Unless you really know what you're getting and are willing to make the performance sacrifices for the ease of use and looks of MSE, I would advise against it. It even had its AV-Test certification revoked.
