i have been waiting for standalone and i have heard no news lately, i was wondering if anybody knows when it will be released. Also if you think there is any point in me getting arma 2. Another thing is that i have a fx 8350 and a gtx 660ti and i can run arma 3 but not that well in multiplayer so i was wondering if i would struggle to run arma 2 with the dayz mod

Well as far as I know. ArmA III is a bit stronger. So you might be ok.. Get ArmA II (FREE) edition to see if you can run it. If you can then yes buy it for DayZ as for the news. They have been quiet but you can follow the youtube Dev blog.

How do you struggle on multiplayer? WIth an AMD fx 8350 and gtx 660ti? I have a i33220 and gtx 650 and run it on high? It must be your internet or the server its hosted on. They said with Arma 3 if you can run Arma 2 you can run Arma 3 so in theory you should be able to play arma 2. Day-z standalone is rumoured for a june-july release.

then i dont understand, what could be the reason. And when i say i struggle i mean like i get 30 frames, it drops alot aswell though. Is there anyway for me to get recommended settings or something? and also i am using 1360x768 if that makes a difference?
