I have forgotten the password to my old xbox account and the email I used is no longer an active one, I can log in to it from another console but I want to transfer it to my new one, but when I do so I need to enter the password. I don't remember the security proofs either.

You can try calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX. Give them your email and answer there questions to prove its you they will reset the password and you are good to go.

It's going to be hard to convince them, but try to call microsoft and see what they can do to help you out.

I doubt you'll be able to get your account back, microsoft acts like they protect bank accounts.

What you can try is calling back in a day or so and say this.... " I believe my account got hacked into i tried getting on today and it said my password was wrong can you please lock out my account and find out this problem for me." I used that line and what happened was they locked my account for 3 days and got me to reset the password over a email account.
