When did Microsoft EVER build a series without Intel?

That skype rumor is so old. It was rumored it was supposed to be out during the kinect dashboard release, and the time youtube and IE hit xbox360.

Actually I think it's true that they will use AMD's processors, AMD is cheaper and they manufacture 8 core chips like the 8350 while its revel, the i5 with only 4 cores.
If the specs are correct, that the xbox will have 8 cores, chances are it will be an AMD chip.
