So basically, I have my computer going but I can't boot up windows because it can't find a partition/hard drive.

Help!

Make sure that all of the cables are plugged into the necessary places (SATA power and SATA data cable).

The go to the BIOS and see if you can see the hard drive. If you can, change the mode to AHCI, save changes, reboot and then try again.

If it didn't find it, then check to see if the hard drive is spinning/making a noise.

Does it click?

If there's no noise or a clicking sound it's DOA (Dead On Arrival) and you'll have to return it.
