My Xbox just got the red rings of death after a month

My Xbox just got the red rings of death after a monthPosted:

So I've been through two console bans of years of playing Xbox.
So I purchased a new one from a very trusted who seller who sells tons of units, his console were from 2007 October and they were falcons I believe. It had the HDMI thing to on it so it wasn't 2005 or what.
So I rarely played and only play about one hour per week I believe.
But I turned on my Xbox after a week of not playing and I played fallout new vegas without no freezes or anything, xbox was sounding normal. Then I launch the LAST MISSION of new vegas to play and my xbox freezes after loading the mission, I quickly the turn off the Xbox and go take a piss.
I come back turn it on BOOM RROD. I turn it off, keep it off and turn it back launches to the dash board but no luck, freezes rrod.
no error signs ont he tv or anything.
Like I can buy a new xbox or send this back to the person (I don't know if I can since my Mom doesn't want to pay for shipping I think)
Well is there any way to fix this? I can buy a rrod fix kit if someone can link me to legit ones with tutorials? Also these fans were upgraded from 5v to 12v the seller said...so I don't know how it happened.
Also I have SEVERAL power boards, if I open it and replace it will it help?

if you switch the power board it might just work but the towel trick only holds up for about a week so don't do that

like the power board with the leds, can that work? I'm not a expert on these things.
