Maybe try to:
1) Try blowing/cleaning the disc tray and try a disc again.
2) Take a look at the actual disc tray itself and look for cracks, bends or something that doesn't look right.
3) Get a light source (e.g, torch, phone etc) and look in the disc tray and look up and see if that has anything wrong with it.
WARNING DON'T USE A GAME YOU USE OFTEN IN CASE OF BREAKAGES!

ummmmm i don't think him using a "torch" is the best idea i advice to avoid using a torch ..
