will microsoft shut down the current xbox 360 servers or has that not been announced

They'll probably get shut down a few years after Xbox Ones release. It'll be just like what they did to regular Xbox's servers, when the 360 came out.

Most likely longer than that considering EA said that they would only spend four more years putting games onto the 360 when the xbox one comes out.

All I know is so far is, Microsoft is still keeping the server, but they re-named Xbox 360 to Xbox 720. I think they are still keeping the server up and running. That will be stupid otherwise.

They are still using the same server as far as I am aware with 300,000 servers instead of only 15,000 servers online to date.

I could be wrong though

And they didn't rename it to the 720 :facepalm:

did you pull that information from out you're behind cause it sure smells like you did!

they are not renaming the 360 the 720! where do children get this information

They are making a huge announcement about the 360 during E3, and I doubt it would be "we're shutting down 360 live"
