I have cable, 2 months ago I was constantly on 4 bar but within after it just started going beserk

My connection does this... i get 19mb/s download on steam and 11mb/s upload... its not my connection, its the host that the game chose.

I know exactly what you mean, my connection does this (only on call of duty [i dont lag at all on halo, gta, minecraft]) i get this almost every game too.
try resetting your router and then trying to play a game!

But then why would it be just me in some games on red bar? I've been in some games where their connection is like 3 bars...

It could be your ingame preferences joining you to a host across the world (if you live in england and join to a Australian host, youll be on a 1 bar) go onto the menu where you can see all game type and press the "X" button so you can see search preferences and change them to local (if you havent already, i dont know what else to recommend im afraid )

It would be highly appreciated if you two started PMing each other instead of constantly bumping the topic...
