I bet this got under the skin of some highly religious people. It's kind of shocking the Pope would say this. This kind of makes a little happy though. I don't know all of this guy's views, but it's nice seeing a big member of a religion openly accept people with different views. It's something we need. I may not always agree with this Pope, but I enjoy him saying this. I'm not a religious person, but that acceptance is nice to hear.

Adictrate wrotePile wrote I think heaven is just a thing to make people not too scared or dying.. Like they think they will be reunited with lost family members.
But what if you're not afraid of dying? You're always going to have the thought of heaven or hell always until you die.
TBH, most of the time I think of heaven, hell and god because others bring it up to try to question why I don't believe. I normally think of things like, how much money do I have left?, Will I need more gas before I reach my destination?, Should I eat now or wait until I get home?
My everyday traveling thoughts^

The bible bashers are going to come out in force and hate me for this but...
Do you know what would be funny and kind of ironic? If the church were to be refused entry into Heaven because of the corruption behind it and Atheists/Agnostics were granted entry for not supporting the church.

People are waking up to the corrupt nature of the Church.
If that's what he wants to believe, great.
"corrupt" Well, it's not like they're trying to take over the world and kill each and everyone of us.
No, they just take donations of millions, and instead of spending that money on feeding the poor, clothing the needy, they spend it on building big shiny churches.
That's corrupt.
I'm not Catholic at all, I am actually a non-denominational christian. Non-denominational christian beliefs are basically just the bible if you did not know. Anyways I go to one church in my area and when we give money to our church they do not use it on the church itself. We use that money on giving people better life's in our area and helping our community out. We also have a group within our church that goes to foreign countries and help out by using our donated money to help their communities also. We go to countries like Uganda and parts of Mexico. We basically try to go everywhere and work and help like God's people. I'm not apart of this group yet but I am apart of a smaller group. We go to many places that need help in our community. We just visited the Cerebral Palsy patients literally a few days ago. So yeah our church is not like that. I do not agree with much of what the Catholic church does.
