Looks like a safety - and a wallet - hazard to me. That little thing cruises at 173 KIAS? That's faster than a Cessna 172 at 105 KIAS, but I suppose that's possible with three engines.

I imagine it would be super expensive. A new 2013 Cessna 172 is more than $500,000, so let's combine that with this new technology, the price of a car, two more engines than a 172, insurance, maintenance, and the mark up, you'll probably be looking in the millions in the long run. For that price, I'd rather buy myself a Learjet (or maybe a Cessna Citation X, if they get real outrageous).

I always liked the rocket chutes. It's standard on all Cirrus aircraft now, and it's an add-on for many others, including most Cessnas. I've seen it save lives.

Anyway, it just doesn't seem worth it to me. Why would I want a car that I can't fly? They said it would be 'all automated' (commercial airliners today still can't make 100% autonomous flights, so I question how this will work). Thanks, but no thanks; I'll stick with my trusty 172 for the next few decades.

I doubt they will be released that soon even though the rate of new technology being invented is increasing, I would highly doubt that they will invent this and even if they do it won't be affordable

I simply don't think this will happen, If it does it will be limited to very few people.

Nah, they said that in 2005 it would come out in 2010. No way to tell IF they are ever coming out if they do
