Can anyone help me out? My friend told me that you can download xbox 360 games off of a website. Does anyone know if that is true or not?

I used to do this years ago, but I'm pretty sure they have patched it. I may be wrong but I doubt it.

It has been patched now. However, users had the ability to download the arcade game, along with a profile that owned the game. Did some weird glitch and change profiles and you could play arcade or god games for free.

There is no longer a way to download games of the internet in Games On Demand Format anymore they will not launch on your console due too licence checks. The only way your gonna even gonna get close to a free game is through licence transfering its very risky you can get banned for this.

Well technically you can download a game, burn it to a disc and put it in your xbox. Problem is, you need a flashed drive.

Which is very easy to do unless you have one of the newer model slim consoles. Even then just pay someone 10 or so to do it.

They can't really patch it per se, you just flash your dvd drive with custom firmware. Or extract the iso and run the default.xex off of a homebrew xbox. Free games are impossible without having done either of those two things.
EDIT: Nevermind, I was never aware of this downloading games in games on demand format and running them that way. I had just assumed they always had license checks.
