on a all in one pc i have a lenovo c340 and its running windows 8 which i dont really like

You can run 2 different operating systems,or you can uninstall windows 8 and install windows 7.

honestly i wouldnt try torrenting an os only because most likely it as a bunch of viruses. i would say to be safe just suck it up and stick with windows 8

Just get something like 'Start is Back' and then it's just an improved Windows 7 with a few minor compatibility issues.

your best bet would be to look for an OS on torrenting sites and look for one that has a few things.
A)Plenty of seeders
B)plenty of comments from people that say its worked and from reputable members too IE VIP's or trusted memebrs
C)it is uploaded by a trusted memeber or VIP, if it has any 2 of these things then your probably OK.
My suggestion if you go down this route, make a bootable CD with the OS and then install it along side windows 8, then just use windows 7 for a month if all is OK and it works with no issues or bugs you can look at wiping windows 8. if not wipe 7 and be done with it.
in addition you can always buy an official license for 7 from Microsoft and install it the same as above but obviously you can remove 8 from the start and just use 7 because you know it will work

Microsoft are bringing back the Start button in some sense of the word later on in the year possibly next update.
