why did i not recieve a system update when i put my usb in my rgh to update avatars

btw ive updated to the latest dash but when i try to do the avatar update nothing comes up also the file isnt corrupted i checked on xex menu
could it be because i deleted the flash dump + upd flash dump or something like thst
i deleted them because i think they were corrupt as it bricked my rgh but i got a guy to fix my rgh and install the new dash for me so thats why i deleted the file because if its on your xbox i figuered they dont need to be in the usb anymore

What I did to update the avatars was I put my jtag hdd into my retail and downloaded the update then put it back into my jtag try that it should work
