so i get that theres only a few services to they can charge what they like, but what is so special about the service that it cost so much? what do they actually do? like what is stopping me from just getting my jtag ready and trying to go online, i understand its something to do with there files and there protected by a server, but if its just a file, why has it not been cracked, or whats stopping someone from creating one, selling it and it getting leaked? this just confuses me, i dont fully understand what the file the service sends you actually does,

It are the buissness people.
If you make something where people want to give alot of money for then you must be stupid to make it cheaper and make less profit. Its just for the profit and the long time it took to make it.

The reason is most of it is coded in ppc which is a tough language to learn to begin with and the price can be anything they want it's kind of like gas why is that so expensive

people know what needs to be done to make there own files but don't know how to do it

Exactly, xbox can tell if you have a homebrew xbox. Servers charge because. Well, there is no method that has been released, nobody will release it because. they probally dont know how to get it, and if they do, they just want to make some money, anybody will go and pay to get online. getting online lets you do different things on a jtag. If you want to host mw3. mw2. bo2 zombies. well you need to be online for that. they charge because they can, they make profit that way.
