Level up a guy to 90 as fast as you can. If you are a healer/ tank dungons are the fastest way along with questing in the down time between ques. Once you hit 8 do quest in MoP and do the new dungons to finish the quests for them. In total if you take 12 hours to level each day it will take you around a week of hard core playing to hit 90 from level one.

If you are not going to do dungons to level I would get 2 gathering proffessions to level up with and make you some gold. Mining and herbalisim are good options. Just take what you get and sell it on the AH in stacks of 20.

Download a few addons to help you out, a few that are must haves are Postal, Auctioneer, Atlass Loot for any instances, Deadly Boss Mods for instances, and oqueue (or is it oqueque) is a good one as well.

When you hit 90 you need to start a gold empire. Start out making gold by either leveling up a profession and using it such as talioring, Jewlcrafting, Enchanting, Inscription ect. Personally Inscription can make you the most combined with Herbalisim but you have to really have a lot of spare time to watch the AH because a lot of people have it, it is also one of the easiest professions to level up as well so that will be nice for you. When you get around 50000g you can start plaing the auction house to get more money.

Plaing the AH just means buying low and selling high, it can be anything from owning the market so everyone is forced to pay what you put it up for (easy to do on a medium-low population servers) or just buying out the things posted lower than what they usually are, waiting until the prices go up again and selling them at a higher price. To do this I would really recommend Auctoneer it makes it so easy with the built in tools it has.

The biggest thing with gold is just don't waste it on stupid things. Don't go buy a Sunstone Panther when all you have is 21000 gold. It won't work out very well for you in the long run. You could have used that to make so much more in the end. Also you have to have a high level guy to really make anything.

If you are going to be doing a lot of PvE like raiding or anything to get the gear you should start off by doing the Shadow Pan quest line that starts in Kun lai summit and goes through to the other area. This will give you around ilvl 440 gear and you need 460 to get into raids. Then start doing dailies and heroics. When you get enough valor go to the Justice point vendor where you finished the shadow pan dailies at and find the guy that is from shadow pan assault. You should be able to buy a necklace for around 1250 valor that has ilvl 522, which is current ToT raiding level. You also will get ilvl 463 gear from heroics to get you up as well. Once you get into raids just do them each week. When you get to the klaxxi ones start talking to the Black Prince to start on getting your legendary weapon. Once you hit ToT you should be getting rep for that vendor. Once you hit Honored everything will be unlocked except for the shoulders so you can always go for valor again and get more gear from him. You should also try to kill the 4 world raid bosses in MoP to get the gear that drops off of them. They are Gallion, Nalak, Oondasta, and Sha. If you have a good server people should constantly be killing them.

For PvP just buy the crafted Dreadful gear off of the AH if you have the gold, then save up honor from doing Random BGs and buy the gear from the PvP person. Buy 4 pieces of the main set first because of the buff it gives you and then go on from there and replace what you need. I would get a weapon and or off hand after those 4 main pieces.

Finally the last thing I am going to tell you is that I would make a character on a high population realm. It is so much easier to do everything in it and it is much more fun to play in. Sure every now and then you will have a 15 min que time to get in but you can post in the chat and join a random ICC run that is set up instead of having to spam the chat getting a group together for hours to do it. I am saying this from experience I started out on Skullcrusher Alliance and now I am on Area 52 horde. So much more fun.
